Mexican cuisine is very close to Indian cuisine in spices. They use a lot of chillies and cumin, just like Indian cuisine. In fact, did you know that green chilli originated in Mexico and later it reached India. Today, Indians probably consume the most green chillies in the world.

Here are a few basic things that you must have to make any Mexican dish: Mexican cheese blend, refried or whole beans and totilla. For garnishing you need guacamole, salsa and sour cream.

The good news is that once you learn the basic technique, you can pretty much add your own variations and make a lot many dishes.
